3 buses for Silaynons ‘mark of progress’

NOT just one or two but three service buses will be enjoyed by the people of Silay City after it obtained a brand new bus and got a donation of two additional buses from the Yanson family who owns and operates fleets of buses in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

This is a continued “mark of progress” under the leadership of incumbent Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez who is seeking a new mandate for his second term in office.

Golez is the only son of former Assemblyman Jaime Golez.

Mayor Golez thanked the Yanson family (Vallacar Transit, Inc.) for donating two Hino buses valued at P3.6 million pesos each.

With this, the Silay City Government highly appreciates the benevolence and support of the Yanson Family & Vallacar Transit Incorporated to the local government and its people.

The source of fund of the newly acquired bus (King Long brand) was the P5.1 million Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government to the Silay City Government for having achieved the Seal of Good Local Governance for the third time.

The Performance Challenge fund was then used to purchase a Brand New King Long Bus for the City.

Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Ison blessed the three buses on April 22, 2019 in Silay City.
