Ngano gipanganlan ka’g Angel?

Kay maora kuno ko’g miracle baby. When my mom gave birth to me she was already on her 40s, so I was like a menopausal baby.

Taga-asa ang inyong kagikan?

Dakay is from Uling, Naga, Cebu. My late grandfather was one of the pioneers of Atlas Fertilizer Corporation.

Unsa to imong kanta nga nag-viral?

I was invited to record a song at JCV Studios for their opening. I did a cover song of Moira de la Torre’s “Tagpuan” and just after a few hours it hit 4 thousand views. In high school I used to be the guitarist for our Troubadours Club. I’m now with Ms. Aida Patana of M-Talent Events and Promotions as her assistant, model and artist. That’s where JC Viacrusis, the owner of JCV studios discovered me.

Nag-eskuwela pa ka?

I’m 4th year BS Architecture in Cebu Institute of Technology-University.

Since we’re celebrating the National Youth Day, what would you like to share to improve the lives of this generation?

My advocacy for mental health awareness especially for people who are suffering from depression. This is actually one of the reasons why I’ve been into beauty pageants hoping somebody would be able to help me with this advocacy.

Unsaon man nimo pagtabang?

Ang best solution ra gyud ana nga imo nang ipagawas kon unsay nakahasul nimo. You have to talk it out. Because the more nga imo na siya i-keep, the more nga kan-on ka sa imong depression. I chose this advocacy because I, myself, was a victim of it.

Unsa diay nahitabo nimo?

I had my biggest trial last year. I won’t go into detail since it’s a family matter but depression is really a serious problem. I also learned the importance of forgiveness for you to move on. No matter how big the problem is, God will always be bigger than the problem.

Unsay imong mga nadag-an na?

I was “Miss Alay Lakad 2012,” “Binibining Toledo 2014,” 1st place ko sa Regional and National Festival of Talents- French Cosplay sa Makati Science High School, ABS-CBN Miss Santa Babe daily winner, and I’m now one of the 16 finalists for the Miss Mandaue 2019.

If you will be crowned as Miss Mandaue, how would you promote the city amid the recent killing incidents?

Crimes are inevitable. We don’t know how or when will it happen. I believe Mandaue city is not known for that. Mandaue is still generally peaceful and through the power of social media, I would tell the whole world that Mandaue city is still the best place to live in being the best city in Cebu with a golden heart for service.

Naay nangutana kinsa kuno imong uyab?

Sa una naa pero karon akong main focus is my study and my advocacy. I haven’t been into relationship lately but I’m open if someone wants to get to know me. Pero di pa ko ready for any commitment.

How’s your preparation for the Miss Mandaue?

I’ve been reading a lot especially on current events for the Q and A. All the candidates have undergone personality development and catwalk workshops. The Swimsuit Competition and Media’s Choice on April 24, the Talent Competition on April 27, and there will be Pre-Judging on the morning of the coronation, May 7 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.
