CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Investors and Locators Association (Cila) has described businessman Liberato "Levy" Laus as a "relentless champion for countryside development."
This was contained in Cila's statement, which was read by the group's chairman, Irineo Bong Alvaro, during a meeting with officers and members of the Capampangan In Media Incorporated (Cami) at the Bale Balita on Friday, April 26.
Alvaro said the "officers and members of Cila are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of one of its distinguished members, Mr. Levy Laus."
As chairman of the Laus Group of Company, he was a true visionary and a world-class leader, Alvaro said.
As a former Clark Development Corporation president, he was instrumental in protecting the interest of locators and promoting Clark as an investment haven, he added.
"As a business leader, he was a relentless champion for countryside development. His passing is a great loss for the Metro Clark Community. Our prayers are with him and his family," Alvaro added.
