THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) has issued a Store Water Advisory to several barangays in the city starting Saturday, April 27.
These areas are Tisa Hills, Felina Village, Villa Isidra, F. Llamas St., part of San Jose Village, Doña Maria Villages 1 & 2, part of Punta Princesa, Gochan St., Mambaling, and part of Tres de Abril.
Water supply will be available in these areas on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while there will be no water services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In hinterland barangays, the water supply will be available from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Supply of water in Salvador St., Fortich St., Horseshoe Drive, Happy Valley, Englis in Banawa, M. Velez St., Capitol and Espina Village is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
This means that there will be no water service in these areas on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. MCWD spokesperson Charmaine Rodriguez-Kara said they are doing this to mitigate the depleting water supply in its water source, particularly the Jaclupan dam. (HBL of SuperBalita Cebu, VLA)
