3 pushers collared in Baguio

THREE drug peddlers were arrested in Baguio City in separated drug bust on April 25.

Personnel of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 5 and 7, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the BCPO and Tuba Municipal Police Station (TMPS) in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Cordillera (PDEA–CAR) arrested two drug peddlers identified as Jones Paciteng Lamsis alyas Boy, 34, laborer and resident of Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet and Dindo Cabalhin Javier, 25, and a resident of Pinsao Proper, Baguio City.

The suspects conspired in selling sachets of suspected shabu to authorities who acted as poseur buyer that led to their arrest at Roden's Bar, Barangay Rizal Monument, Baguio City Thursday morning, April 25.

Confiscated from the suspect were four heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, P1,000 cash, and P5,000 boodle money.

In another operation, another alleged drug dealer identified as John Eric Bulatao, 29, was arrested in his residence at Barangay Lourdes Extension, Baguio City in the afternoon of the same day.

Joint personnel of DEU and Police Station 1 of the BCPO arrested Bulatao after he sold sachet of suspected shabu to one of the operatives who post as a poseur buyer.

One sachet of shabu and drug bust money amounting to P1,000 were seized from his possession.

Police Brigadier General Israel Dickson, regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera, said the continuous arrest of drug suspects is a result of the intensified operation conducted by the police region wide.

“I commend the apparent commitment of all personnel of PROCOR in the pursuit of all of these people behind the drug menace,” Dickson added.
