MABALACAT CITY -- The local government unit has obtained an ISO 9001:2015 certification from AJA Registrars signifying its adherence to management standards in providing quality standards to its clients.
Mayor Cris Garbo and City Administrator and Concurrent City Planning and Development Office chief Rosan Paquia received the ISO certificate during the city hall's flag ceremonies recently.
Also present were AJA Registrars president Paul Bagatsing and Business Development and Client Relations manager Laarni Narido.
Bagatsing said there are over 1,000,058 organizations that are ISO certified, half of which belongs in Asia.
He added that in the Philippines, there are less than 4500 ISO certified organizations and this city will now be included in the list.
The Registration Certificate states that: "This is to certify that the management system of Mabalacat City has been assessed by AJA Registrars and registered against the requirements of ISO 9001-2015 for the scope of Issuance of Zoning and Locational Clearance. The certificate number is AJA 18-0178.
The ISO 9001:2015, the world’s most widely recognized quality management system certification by international standard, was accorded to Mabalacat after it instituted an extensive self-assessing, ISO Quality Management Systems Awareness, forming the core group, internal auditing, drafting the quality management system, management audit, third party certification and employee training to enhance the competency of its personnel.
