FORMER Fourth District representative and vice gubernatorial bet Jeffrey Ferrer is asking for the intervention of President Rodrigo Duterte in Moises Padilla after the recent killing of the two members of the Garcia Family.

The Garcia family are asking also for the presidential intervention so that he could see the real situation in the town, Ferrer said.

"Such act of killing is barbaric and demonic," Ferrer said of the killing.

He also revealed that the National Unity Party of which he and the Garcias belong is considering a substitution for reelectionist Councilor Michael Garcia.

Ferrer also said he believes that the killing is politically motivated.

He also advises incumbent Vice Mayor Ellea Garcia-Yulo not to be cowered by the incident because the people are for her.

On the part of Senator Cynthia Villar, she revealed that she will ask DILG Secretary Eduardo Año and the Comelec to put Moises Padilla under Comelec control and immediately act on the matter.
