DTI-Western Visayas personnel negative for drugs

THE 28 employees of the Department of Trade and Industry are all negative for use of illegal drugs.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Ageny (PDEA) conducted a surprise random drug test on 28 employees of the Department of Trade and Industry in Western Visayas as part of their compliance to the Drug Free Workplace Program Policy.

The random drug test was held on April 25, 2019 by PDEA-Western Visayas Laboratory Section led by Chemist Rose Mae Quinonez, together with Divine Grace Guacin and Francis Dosayla.

All 28 employees who underwent the random drug test tested negative for the presence of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride (shabu) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (marijuana), PDEA confirmed.

Random drug tests have been conducted on government employees relative to the anti-illegal drug campaign of the government.

Those tested positive for use of illegal drugs are advised to undergo rehabilitation depending on the degree of the addiction of the concerned employee based on the guidelines set by the Civil Service Commission.
