CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- As the absentee voting for government employees starts, a total of 1,386 Police Regional Office Central Luzon personnel including those 115 assigned at the Regional Headquarters and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 started to cast their votes Monday, April 29.

P/Brig. General Joel Napoleon Coronel, said all the said PRO Central Luzon personnel cast their votes from around 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The absentee voting allows police personnel to exercise their right to suffrage at their respective offices earlier than the official election date on May 13 because of job-related duties provided that they applied to be part of such a process, Coronel said.

Those who joined in the absentee voting can only vote for candidates running for Senate and Partylist group through the Comelec Resolution No. 10443.

Coronel said some of the police absentee voters hail from provinces as far as Abra, Benguet, Cagayan Valley and Lanao del Norte.

Meanwhile, absentee voters assigned at the Regional Headquarters and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 will cast their vote at the PRO 3-Pana Hall, Camp Olivas, Pampanga. (Ric Sapnu)
