SENATORIAL candidate Manuel "Mar" Roxas II has met with vendors in Cogon market on Tuesday, April 30, and vowed to prioritize and empower the people inside the markets if he wins this midterm elections.

"Mainit ang pagtanggap sa atin, nakakataba ng puso, nagsisilbing inspirasyon na hindi nawawala, hindi sila bumibitiw," Roxas said of the supporters inside the market.

(They gave us a warm welcome, it is heartwarming, it serves as an inspiration that will never be gone, that they are not letting us go.)

Roxas, who is making a comeback after losing in the 2016 presidential elections, said visiting markets is always a part of his campaign and has been his long-time branding in politics.

Roxas, in an interview, reiterated one of his campaigns -- for farmers to have automatic membership of the government's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

He said financial assistance for farmers is a must, especially during El Niño season.

"Saan sila kukuha ng panggastos while nag-aantay? So gawin dapat automatic member ng 4Ps (where are they going to get money spend? So we plan to make farmers as automatic members of the 4Ps)," he added.
