Over P600,000 in 'shabu' seized

POLICEMEN in Negros Occidental seized an estimated P629,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate anti-drug operations last week.

On April 25, Roel Lemoncito, 41, of Barangay II, Hinigaran town, was arrested after he allegedly yielded four sachets of substance believed to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P8,000, the P1,000 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P5,050 in cash.

The following day, Mark Supresencia, 31, of Barangay 10, Bacolod City, was collared after police recovered from him seven sachets of "shabu" weighing 50 grams worth P245,000, coin purse, and the P1,000 marked money.

Supresencia, an alleged high-value target, is detained at Police Station 2.

Also arrested in the city last Friday, April 26, was Mark Paul Delfin, 27, of Barangay Sum-ag, for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs. He is an alleged high-value target.

Police seized from him six sachets of "shabu" worth P21,000, the P200 marked money, and a coin purse.

Delfin is detained at Police Station 9.

In Calatrava town, Vilma Pabalate, and Danny Pabalate were arrested in Barangay Patun-an, resulting in the recovery of five sachets of "shabu" worth P5,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

On April 27, Mary Jean Dadivas, 48, of Barangay 2, Bacolod City, a newly-identified drug personality was arrested after she allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent for P1,000 in a transaction held in Barangay 3.

Police seized from her six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 14 grams amounting to P150,000, the P1,000 marked money, and a coin purse.

Dadivas is detained at Police Station 2.

In a separate operation, Jonnel Sitjar of Barangay 2, Bacolod City, managed to escape in a drug bust last Saturday, but authorities were able to confiscate during the operation 13 sachets of "shabu" weighing eight grams worth P80,000, the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, and a coin purse.

In Valladolid town, Jose Zamora Jr., 40, of Barangay Poblacion, was arrested in Barangay Tabao Proper last Saturday, April 27.. He yielded three sachets of "shabu," the P1,000 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and a cellular phone.

In Sipalay City, Octavio Santiago of Barangay 5 managed to escape on a motorcycle in a drug bust in Barangay 3 on the same day. He is an alleged level-one high value target and a member of Bugalon drug group in Kabankalan City.

On April 28, Arlene Caceres, 35, of Barangay 16, Bacolod City, a ninth top drug personality under the watchlist of Police Station 1, and an alleged high-value target was arrested for allegedly engaging in the illegal drug trade.

Police seized from Caceres 11 sachets of "shabu" worth P9,000, the P300 marked money, an improvised tooter, a lighter, and a coin purse.

Also arrested in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City on April 28 was Stephen Palarion after police recovered from him three sachets of "shabu" worth P8,000, and the P200 marked money.

In Bago City, Dennis Pancho of Barangay Poblacion, a newly-identified drug personality, managed to escape in a drug bust over the weekend. He was recently released through plea bargaining for the same offense.

Police seized during the operation two sachets of "shabu" worth P3,000.

On April 30, Jan Hermel Negrido, 30, and Michael John Villarba, 37, both residents of Barangay 6; and Maria Angela Sandoval, 22, of Barangay 1, San Carlos City, were arrested in Barangay 6 after they allegedly yielded five grams of "shabu' worth P60,000, drug paraphernalia, the P800 marked money, and P200 in cash.

In Bacolod City, Brando Bacarro, 35, and Jasmine Valente, 37, both residents of Barangay 35, were arrested Tuesday, April 30, after police confiscated from them eight sachets of "shabu" worth P40,000, two pouches, and the P500 marked money.

Bacarro is an alleged high-value target, while Valente is a newly-identified drug personality, police records showed.
