8 fall in Cordillera police anti-crime drive

POLICE Regional Office-Cordillera Director Israel Ephraim Dickson commended the different police units in the region for the successful manhunt operations conducted last week that led to the arrest of eight wanted persons.

Carabacan Felix, 63, the second top most wanted person of Ifugao charged with rape, was arrested by the Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station personnel in his residence in Barangay Posnaan Thursday, April 25.

Another wanted person identified as Jelvis Alisado Bawayan, 37, a laborer who was accused of attempted rape, was arrested in Mabalite, Tadian, Mountain Province by joint personnel of Tadian police and 1502nd Regional Mobil Force Brigade 15.

Bawayan has a recommended bail bond of P150,000 issued by Judge Sergio Angnganay Jr. of Regional Trial Court Branch 35, Bontoc, Mountain Province.

Warlito Laylay, 22, another top most wanted person who has been listed as number 6 in the province of Apayao and charged with frustrated murder, was apprehended by Kabugao police in his residence in Sitio Kalaweg, Barangay Luttuacan, Kabugao, Apayao.

A bail bond of P200,000 was recommended for Laylay's case.

Esrael Daganos Pago, 19, a farmer who was charged with frustrated homicide, was arrested by the police tracker teams in his residence in Abatan, Buguias.

Meanwhile, four other wanted persons were apprehended region-wide for theft and estafa, robbery in an uninhabited place, and violation of the Anti-Bouncing Check Law.
