TECHNOLOGY and social media connect applicants to potential employers, but a call for an appointment is not always guaranteed.
To address this issue, SM City Cebu together with the Department of Labor and Employment will hold a job fair at the Cebu Trade Hall on Wednesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event would allow job seekers to explore various job opportunities, be interviewed by potential employers, and even get hired on the same day.
Participating employers include SM tenants, local-based and overseas-based companies, business process outsourcing companies and service industries.
SM provides Filipinos with basic needs, including jobs. Aside from being home to over 300,000 employees and counting, the company also makes a conscious effort to help provide jobs to the growing Filipino workforce.
Job seekers must make sure to bring several copies of their resumé, identification pictures, transcript of record, and other pertinent documents which may be required by the employers.
SM advised them to be in proper business attire to impress the employers so they could land a job on the spot.
