MAYORAL bet Ben Contreras wants to put an end to what he said as dishonesty in City Hall while Felix Borres wants less talk, less politics, and more actions when they get elected for the highest position in the city.

Contreras said he was disappointed when the recent survey of Xavier University showed he had less than one percent chances of winning.

"I love our city and I continue to advocate honest governance. I feel very sad that a great number of people okay ra mangawat nga okay lang mangawat basta naay agi," Contreras said.

"I have one mission to put an end to dishonesty, ibalik ang integrity sa City Hall," he added.

On employment, Contreras said he wants to end red tape in government to attract more investors and generate more job opportunities.

On solving the traffic problem, Contreras said he wants to professionalize traffic enforcers. On solving illegal drugs, he urged the youth to change their lifestyles. He said drinking alcohol and going to night outs can only make the youth susceptible to illegal drugs use.

Reacting to the impact of the president's support, Contreras admitted that Duterte told him he won't endorse any local candidates. He said despite this, he will continue to support programs of the government.

Businessman Felix Borres meanwhile said he has already helped contribute job opportunities by being a contractor.

On illegal drugs, Borres said there is a need to focus on drug rehabilitation to treat drug users and giving them another chance at life.

Borres said while he is also not endorsed by the president, he claimed he still can connect easily to Duterte because of his classmate, now a presidential security guard in Malacañan.

The four mayoral bets, during the Xavier University initiated fora on issues, were given five topics: employment, traffic, the impact of President Rodrigo Duterte's endorsement, water supply problem, and transparency and accountability.
