Angeles police: No incidents on Labor Day

A POLICE official said the celebration of Labor Day in Angeles City was generally peaceful.

Police Captain Elaine Villasis, public information officer of the Angeles City Police Office, said "there were no atrocities and untoward incidents on May 1."

A group of militant groups passed by and staged a lightning rally in the city but personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Mobile Group based in Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando were dispatched to maintain security and order, she added.

Meanwhile, Villasis said two suspected pushers were arrested by the Police Station 2 on Labor Day.

The suspects were identified as Rowel "Attorney" Sicat Pangilinan, 44, of Purok 3, Barangay Pampang, and Levy Pingul Carreon, 45, of Barangay Santa Trinidad.

Both Pangilinan and Carreon were charged with drug possession and selling.

Police Captain Elaine VIllasis, public information officer of the Angeles City Police Office, said the city police have intensified their anti-illegal drive.

She added that their command under the leadership of Police Colonel Narvin Mangune is coordinating with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to curb illegal drugs in the city.
