Capitol allots P10-M for office rentals

THE Provincial Government of Negros Occidental has earmarked P10 million for the rentals of temporary offices of some Capitol departments.

Acting Provincial Administrator Lucille Gelvolea revealed that the Provincial Government the amount will be paid for the five months rental of the offices that are vacating the Old Provincial Administration Center (PAC) to give way for the P1.7 billion investment of Dynamic Builders, Inc.

Dynamic Builders Inc. will construct the new mixed-use building on the Capitol property which is worth P1.7 billion.

Capitol will also construct a new PAC building worth P900 million to be located at the back of Dynamic Builders’ mixed-use building. Dynamic Builders will also construct the new PAC building.

Gelvolea said that some offices have already transferred while some are wrapping up their remaining things.

She said that another voucher will be prepared by the Provincial Government for the rentals for the following months.

The offices will stay at the temporary offices until the completion of the new Provincial Administration Center building worth P900 million.

Gelvolea said that the groundbreaking of the site for the new PAC is expected before Maranon finishes his term of office on June 30.

The start of the construction is expected under the next administration. (TDE)
