THE City Agriculturist Office organized the first-ever Agri-Fishery Trade Fair from May 2 to 24 at the Plaza Pershing in line with the celebration of the farmers and fisherfolk month.
City agriculturist Carmencita Sanchez said the activity is participated by members of the Asosacion de maga Exibidores del Cosechas de Zamboanga.
Sanchez said the fair showcases quality agri-fishery products from the local farmers of this city and nearby provinces.
She said the fair is to recognize the contributions of the agriculture sector to the economy and food production in this part of the country.
The city agriculturist said the products are featured in the different booths set up at the historical Plaza Pershing.
She added that the fair is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday from May 2 to 24. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
