Gonzales wants landslide victory for PDP-Laban

RE-ELECTIONIST 3rd District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. said that the best effort is now in place to see to the landslide victory of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) senatorial bets in Pampanga.

This, as Gonzales personally led the rallying of supporters at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Friday, May 3.

Earlier in the afternoon, Gonzales was with many of the senatorial candidates as they paraded through parts of Pampanga in their campaign showboats.

Gonzales said many Kapampangans know the PDP-Laban bets, adding that the local party in Pampanga will do its part in mustering support for the senatorial bets.

“We have full support for them and we are sure that they can hurdle the coming elections. Pampanga is for PDP-Laban and other administration backed candidates,” he added.

Gonzales later joined Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda – who are seeking to replace each other in the May elections – at the Bren Z. Guiao stage with the different senatorial candidates.

Main senatorial bets Aquilino Pimentel III, Christopher “Bong” Go, Ronald dela Rosa, and Francis Tolentino were present during the campaign rally.

Dela Rosa, for one, paraded the City of San Fernando with Gonzales.

Meanwhile, Maguindanao 2nd District Representative Zajid Mangudadatu was represented by actor and comedian Gary Lim with guest candidates senators JV Ejercito and Sonny Angara also in attendance.

Gonzales also showed support for Sara Duterte-Carpio’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) when he joined the first campaign salvo of the HNP at the Pampanga Capitol early in February.

The lawmaker said he hopes Pampanga will deliver for Duterte as it did in 2016 when Duterte won against Senator Grace Poe and former vice president Jejomar Binay in the presidential race.

“A strong senatorial line up that has a clear idea of the needs of Pampanga can very well help the province in terms of needed legislation,” Gonzales said added.
