3 wanted persons nabbed

THREE wanted persons in Negros were arrested in separate operations over the weekend.

In Bago City, Arden Salazar was arrested for robbery in Barangay Ma-ao at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge France's Guanzon, of Regional Trial Court Branch 62 in Bago City.

Salazar is detained at Bago City Police Station.

Two wanted persons were also arrested on the same day in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.

Ted John Mark Tupas, 21, and Antonio Castor, 26, both residents of the said barangay, had standing warrants issued by Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of RTC Branch 40 in Silay City.

Meanwhile, the body of a woman was found at around 5:30 p.m. Friday along the road in Hacienda Basag 1, Barangay Tanza, EB Magalona.

The woman, believed to have been 50-55 years old, had a small body frame and was wearing black jacket and black pants.

Authorities said Leah Beri, barangay captain of Barangay Tanza, EB Magalona, informed them about the discovery of the body.

A post-mortem examination showed the woman did not sustain any physical injury.

Municipal doctor Edmundo Janeo said the woman may have died of heat stroke. (Teresa D. Ellera)
