IT WAS in May 1979 when I started reading the Bible with serious intent to know everything written on it. I did not attempt to memorize any verse. I just wanted to understand and remember verses that can apply to our lives.
From that year until the current year, I made it a point to read at least two pages a day. This has been repeated for almost 40 years.
I encourage the readers to do the same. There are many passages I still can’t understand. But the very few verses I understand made me a better person. One thing I can guarantee, you won’t regret reading the Bible. It is a book containing stories of many people, good and bad alike. For me, it’s worth a hundred movies or novels. Another example of a perfect man was Enoch. At age 365, he was kidnapped by God. We make a lot of speculations about God’s purpose in taking away Enoch. That’s what makes his story more interesting.
