LOCAL futsal coaches get a chance to learn from one of the best in the business as renowned futsal coach Victor Hermans holds a two-day futsal coaching course on May 8 and 9 at the Paref-Springdale pitch.
The coaching course is limited only to 30 futsal coaches from the region.
“This is just a Futsal Coaching Course for our coaches. No license is involved. He will just give some coaching ideas, strategies and training methods to some 30 coaches from Cebu and other areas in the province, and also from Bohol,” said Jinggoy Roa, the Chairman-Technical and Development Department of the Central Visayas Football Association (CVFA).
Hermans is a Dutch futsal coach that has managed seven different national teams - Netherlands, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Iran, Malta, Thailand and Indonesia.
He has guided three of those national teams to the FIFA Futsal World Cup, though having no success.
Some of the highlights of his futsal coaching career are winning a title for Iran in the AFC Futsal Championship. (EKA)
