ANG tandem sa Barug-PDP-Laban sa pagka-mayor ug bise mayor sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo ang gisuportahan sa Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) para sa eleksyon karong Lunes, Mayo 13.
Sila si Bise Mayor Edgar Labella ug kanhi mayor Michael Rama maoy gipaluyohan sa INC batok sa tandem nila ni Mayor Tomas Osmeña ug Mary Ann de los Santos sa Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK)
Si Brother Diosdado “Dong” Dades, district minister sa Cebu sa INC, maoy nipatawag sa mga kandidato sa ilang simbahan sa General Maxilom avenue sa Martes sa hapon aron pormal nga ipahibawo nga apil sila sa gipaloyohan.
Ang endorsement sa bloc voting religious group gihangop sa mga kandidato.
“In behalf of Partido Barug, we thank the Iglesia. It could have been our earnest hope and prayer that all ( of us in Barug) but it is their decision,” reaksyon ni Rama.
Si Labella kinsa mao sab ang gisuportahan sa maong simbahan niadtong 2016, nihangop sa endorsement nga iyang gihulagway nga dako niyang dungog nga sa makausa pa gihatagan siya og kompyansa.
“Pasalamat ko sa Iglesia Ni Cristo sa paghatag sa ilang pagsalig kanamo, ako sa pagka-mayor ug sa among kaubanan. Salamat kaayo sa inyong pagsalig,” padayag ni Labella.
Si Osmeña kinsa kanunay paluyohan sa INC sa niaging mga eleksyon, nitahod sa hukom sa kanhi niya tigpaluyo.
“I respect the opinion of the INC. I would like to assure the members of the INC, that I will always treat them with equal respect as any if my constituents as a father would his children,” matod Osmeña.
Sila si Kongresista Raul De Mar sa north district ug Rodrigo Abellanosa sa south district maoy mga kandidato sa INC sa House of Representatives.
Laing gisuportahan
Nikumpleto sa 16 ka mga kandidato paka-konsehal sa north district silang Niña Mabatid ug Raymond Garcia sa Barug PDP-Laban, apil sila si Nestor Archival, Avin Arcilla, Alvin Dizon, Sisinio Andales, Jerry Guardo ug Lea Japson sa BOPK.
Samtang sa south district silang Dondon Hontiveros, Gerard Carillo, Antonio Cuenco ug Eduardo Rama sa BOPK samtang sila si Yayoy Alcoseba, Eugenio Gabuya Jr, Roberto Cabarrubias ug Dave Tumulak sa south district.
“We are very thankful to our brothers and sisters sa Iglesia Ni Cristo nga apil kita sa ilang giindurso pagka-konsehal sa north district.” matod ni Garcia.
“I’m sure they will never endorse someone whom they don’t believe in. So, I’m just one of those lucky candidates nga gipili sa INC,” matod ni Mabatid, kinsa neophyte sa pulitika.
Si Konsehal Joey Daluz, campaign manager sa Barug PDP-Laban, niingon nga kapin o kulang 25,000 ka mga botante ang mga sakop sa INC sa Siyudad sa Sugbo.
