MEMBERS of the Hinoba-an Police Station arrested a person wanted for murder.
Arrested was identified as Gerry Besmanos, 32, of Barangay 1, Hinoba-an.
Police Major Jerry Nacion, Acting Chief of Police of Hinoba-an PNP led the arrest of the suspect by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of murder signed and issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial court, Branch 61, 6th Judicial Region, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental issued on March 18, 2019 with no bail recommended.
The suspect was placed under the custodial facility of Hinoba-an Police Station.
In another development, the Silay Police Station reported an arrest of a drug suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 in drug bust led by on May 6 at Seaview Subd., Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City.
Recovered from the suspect was shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), seven grams amounting to P105,000.
Also recovered at the crime scene were 4 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu, one piece improvised tooter with suspected shabu, one cellphone, P137 cash proceeds, one red coin purse, P6,500 drug bust including the P500 subscribed money bill with serial number GU290387 and P6,000 boodle money.
Initial marking of the drug bust item was done at the crime scene and complete inventory, marking, tagging and photograph was done at Brgy Hall of Brgy. Guinhalaran in the presence of a media representative and Brgy representative.
The suspect was placed at the custodial facility of Silay City Police Station after the medical check-up at Silay City Health for proper disposition.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated illegal dangerous drugs were brought to Regional Crime Laboratory office 6, Iloilo City for drug test and laboratory examination, police report further stated. (TDE)
