Kwon was joined by some city council members and city department directors during the meeting, where they also discussed opportunities for cooperation between Daegu and Bacolod cities.

The meeting was the first of its kind since a Memorandum of Understanding between Bacolod and Seogu District of Daegu Metropolitan City in 2012.

Six months ago, the MassKara Festival dancers also won the bronze medal at the 2018 World Mask Dance Competition, one of the highlights of the Andong Mask Dance Festival, held in Andong City, South Korea on September 28 to October 7, 2018.

The MassKara dancers who competed in Daegu City were choreographed by Segundo Jesus “Panoy” Cabalcar, the winningest choreographer in the history of the MassKara Festival.

They were accompanied by Ang, chairperson of the City Council committee on tourism and action officer of the MassKara Festival and executive assistant Tere Manalili.

The overall champion of the 2019 Daegu Colorful Festival is Force Dance Company of Buan Art Center.
