“WE NEVER imagined to reach this part of the world. To travel to Europe is a complete package of happiness.”

These are the descriptions of Bishop Rodi Celis, who until now with his wife Monica, is still enjoying their stay in Belgium.

The humble couple are able to travel Europe through their daughter Jiji, who is a chemical engineering graduate in Bacolod City and has stayed for good in Belgium with a grown-up son now. Jiji also helped his younger brother, Matthew, who is also now based in Belgium where he works as a nurse.

Bishop Rodi was a former technician in a radio station in Bacolod, while his wife Monica is the talent director of the same radio station.

After availing of the early retirement from their respective jobs, the couple devoted their time in the religious aspects of their lives.

Rodi is now a bishop of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.

"I consider our travel to Europe a complete package because we are able to spend our time with our children and grandchildren here in Belgium. They are the instruments of the realization of our dream to travel maybe the whole of Europe," Celis said.

Bishop Rodi is from Hinigaran, while Monica is from Victorias City.

"Through hard work, nothing is impossible especially when you offer everything to the Lord," Celis said.
