Oakley: Fashion meets function

IT WAS a day of celebrating the passion for sports and athleticism as leading sports brand Oakley held a fashion show last April 6 at The Northwing atrium of SM City Cebu.

Models walked the runway dressed up in the brand’s signature and latest collections from its premium sunglasses and accessories to its sporting apparel. Runway looks varied from ensembles for surfing and skateboarding to days spent at the beach.

The show last month featured sun protected rash guards with UPF +50; its lightweight tops with its O-Hydrolix technology that wicks off sweat keeping the wearer dry and its quick-drying stretch board shorts. Completing the looks were its Frogskin and Prizm glasses. Made to improve color contrast, the Prizm is an Oakley lens technology designed to enhance color for more detail, for better performance and added safety.

More than showcasing its collections, the brand recognizes the challenge and dedication in pursuit of one’s passion, thus highlighting its One Obsession campaign putting the spotlight on sport enthusiasts. Prized for its technology and attention to detail, the company was founded in 1975 known primarily for its sunglasses then slowly evolved to a varied selection of lifestyle products catering to both active and leisurely pursuits for men and women.

In Cebu City, Oakley apparel and accessories are available in Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu, SM Seaside City Cebu, as well as The Outlets at Pueblo Verde.
