Baguio City Police Office launches Kabsat

THE Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-COR) is set to replicate in the six provinces the Baguio City Police Office’s (BCPO) program of unity with other sectors of society.

During the program launching of Kabsat or “Keep All of Baguio Safe and Thriving” PRO-COR director Police Brigadier General Israel Dickson said BCPO’s program of unity is worth emulating by the other provincial command to strengthen cooperation with its various stakeholders.

“We will be replicating this program of the BCPO initiated by acting city director Police Colonel Allen Rae Co in the different provincial command in the region. This program seeks to strengthen cooperation between the police and its constituents,” Dickson said.

The main objective of Kabsat is to have a commitment coming from all sectors of society for a peaceful and progressive nation for the present and future generations of the city.

“We would like to create an environment where all will be safe and secure to live and love, work and do business while respecting honor, justice and freedom through a united pledge with fellow citizens regardless of culture, faith and religion with our brothers and sisters as what Kabsat also represents,” Co added.

Peter Ng, Baguio Chamber of Commerce president, welcomed the program of the BCPO and adhered to an environment where peace and order is maintained which allows for a thriving business environment.

“This program of the BCPO is testament of the people of Baguio who seeks to have a peaceful environment for its fellow citizens to live in,” Ng added.

The program launching was joined by representatives coming from the Chinese community, Korean community, The United Church of Christ and the Muslim community who conducted a pledge of commitment signing followed by a unity dance led by members of PRO-COR.
