AN ADDED feature of NCCC Supermarket to make it more customer-friendly is its establishment of mommy lanes in its counters, aside from the more common priority lanes for senior citizens, differently-abled persons and pregnant women.

Jezza Damada, NCCC Supermarket associate vice president for operations, said during the Mommy Convention Media Conference held at NCCC Mall Buhangin Activity Area, in Buhangin, Davao City Friday, May 10, they are aiming to be the Davao’s destination for Mindanao moms.

“We want to make the mommies feel that they are important inside the store that we prioritize their comfort and convenience while grocery shopping with us that’s why the NCCC Supermarket is establishing mommy checkout counters,” she said.

The announcement is timely since May is mother’s month.

She said the mommy checkout counters are established to cater to mothers who have their babies and or toddlers in tow while grocery shopping.

The mommy lanes at NCCC Supermarket is the first of its kind in the country as most malls or supermarkets only have priority lanes for seniors, pregnant women and differently-abled persons.

The 15 NCCC Supermarket branches that have Mommy Priority Counters are in Buhangin, Cabantian, NCCC Supermarket Catalunan Grande 3, the NCCC Supermarket Centerpoint in Matina, NCCC Supermarket Lacao in Puerto Princesa, Lupon, NCCC Supermarket Maa Centro, Mati, Monkayo, Nabunturan, Panabo, Sta. Cruz, Sto. Tomas, Tagum, Choice Mart Catalunan Grande 2, Choice Mart Tagum Market, and Choice Mart Woodlane.

Aside from this, in aim to be more environmentally-friendly supermarket, NCCC Supermarket also established green lanes which is the first supermarket or malls to put up green lanes in Mindanao.

At green lanes, grocery shoppers can use their reusable or eco-bags instead of the usual plastic cellophanes. They also have the option to use their eco-bags or cartons.

Damada also clarified that NCCC Supermarket accepts all kinds of eco-bags and does not necessarily coming from their own store.
