Y-Speak: Honing teachers’ facilitating skills

THERE is always room for improvement. What we all need is to be open-minded and proactive. Dare to adapt change and embrace the modern world.

On April 22 to 24, 2019, first batch of teachers of Davao City Division underwent training-workshop on the facilitation skills for the pool of trainers at National Educators Academy of the Philippines 11.

The training workshop aims to enhance the division pool of trainers’ skills in delivering training sessions, presentation, facilitation, and giving effective feedback.

In an interview with Emaluz Saniel, one of the participants in Mother-Tongue Group, she said she has learned techniques on how to enhance her facilitation skills in order to be a good one.

“My learning will serve as a challenge to myself in my future speaking engagement. I will do my best to be an effective facilitator if given the chance to become a training facilitator in our district or in the division. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to be part of the Davao City Division Pool of Trainers,” she added.

I salute the participants and speakers for the success of the productive endeavour. I believe that teachers really need to be enhanced and get trained especially on the recent techniques so that they can share what they have and be able to exemplify as good example. (Marie Iris B.
