Cocpo holds bomb drill

THE Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) conducted a bomb drill to prepare for untoward incidents on Election Day.

The scenario included a bomb that went off outside the City Commission on Elections (Comelec) office to sabotage the elections.

Lieutenant Colonel Mardy Hortillosa, Cocpo spokesperson, said the bomb simulation drill was done as a refresher to their personnel.

“We want to know what are the preparations of the Comelec if such unfortunate incidents happen, we want an uninterrupted elections whatever it takes,” he said.

The bomb drill was successfully conducted, with the coordination of the police, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, Explosive Ordnance Division, among others.
