PRO-Northern Mindanao has new chief

A POLICE official who previously held key positions in the National Capital Region (NCR) is now leading the Northern Mindanao police.

Police Brigadier General Rafael Santiago Jr. officially took over the command of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao during the Turnover of Command Ceremony held at Camp Alagar, Friday, May 10.

The turnover ceremony was presided over the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Oscar Albayalde.

Santiago replaced Brigadier General Timoteo Pacleb who is slated to head the Directorate for Intelligence of the National Headquarters (NHQ-PNP) at Camp Crame.

Pacleb served Northern Mindanao for one year and 11 months.

Santiago served the Police Retirees Benefits Service before his assumption as regional director of PRO-Northern Mindanao. He also held various key position at NCRPO, Zambales Province, and Special Action Force.

In his assumption speech, Santiago vowed to build upon the gains of his predecessors and assured that he will continue the good practices to better serve the people of Northern Mindanao.
