Nocppo assures voters of peaceful elections

NEGROS Occidental Provincial Police Office assures the Negrense voters of their safety for a peaceful elections on Monday, May 13.

Colonel Romeo Baleros, Acting Provincial Director, also encourages voters to come early to their respective polling precincts on Monday and exercise their rights to suffrage.

“This happens only once in three years and this is the time that voters would choose their leaders,” Baleros said.

Baleros also warned the candidates to avoid intimidation to push for their election to the voters.

“We won’t allow that. We would like voters to freely choose their leaders today,” Baleros said.

Meanwhile Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is calling on the people to be sober in expressing their will.

“Please go out of your homes and choose your leaders wisely. Make use of your right to vote. Making a choice is a tough decision, thus, we should carefully scrutinize the candidates and think about the future and the next generation. Our future depends on our choice of leaders therefore we should elect those worthy of trust and confidence,” Lacson said

“Let us consider this elections as a sacred process and not an ordinary activity. Let’s pray for peace for the duration of the voting and up to the proclamation of winners. I call on my fellow candidates to respect the will of the people and accept whatever would be the outcome of the elections. I wish you all the best and let’s help one another in moving this province forward,” he added. (TDE)
