4 drug suspects fail to cast vote

AUTHORITIES have killed four people in a police operation in Vamenta Subdivision in Opol town, Misamis Oriental, over the weekend.

Killed were the subject of the operation, Nelson Manlosa and three others identified as Almerante Teneza, Johnny Gacrama and Arman Gutierres.

Police major Evary Bacunawa, Opol town police chief, said operatives were about to serve the arrest warrant against Manlosa for drug charges when the suspects fought back.

“Lisod man pud kaayo og magpauna ang mga police nga armado man sila,” Bacunawa said.

He said the suspects sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of their bodies and were brought to the hospital but were declared dead on arrival.

“Dili man dugay ang pinusilay wala may plano nga patyon sila gani gidala pa sila sa hospital,” he added.

No one was hurt from the police side.

Investigators recovered two caliber 38 revolver; two MK2 fragmentation grenade; five empty shell of 9mm and seven sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).
