Dinner buffet at Madayaw Café

IT WAS Friday and I thought of no better way of ending a deadline-filled week than a good dinner. So when dusitD2 Davao sent an invite for its launching of Madayaw Café Signature Dinner Buffet, I knew I have to be there.

It was in 2017 when I set foot on this property during its topping off ceremony but May 3 was my first time to visit this posh hotel since it started operations in December last year.

Upon entering, it is impossible for one not to notice its impressive lobby with a modern interior design characterized with symbolic geometric shapes and forms. I took some snaps first before settling down inside the café.

Madayaw Café that night was quite busy but not crowded which I actually like. This all-day dining restaurant – open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. – features a rich selection of PanAsian and Western specialties, as well as delectable gourmet dishes and signature drinks for discerning palates.

We were the first batch of diners to try the restaurant’s Signature Dinner Buffet that is available only on Fridays and Saturdays. Available from 5:30pm to 9 pm, it highlights six curated specialty offerings, which comes with free-flowing soft beverages.

Here’s what a diner can try when they avail dusitD2 Davao’s Signature Dinner Buffet:

*Japanese section - fresh tuna and assorted sushi

*Western section - roasted beef, honey-braised ham, and seafood thermidor

*Asian section - authentic Thai dishes and local favourites such as pork belly lechon

*Bread section - selection of artisanal home-made breads from Madayaw Café’s own bakery

*Sweets and Pastry Section - luscious cakes, French pastries, and local delights.

*Salad Bar – salad, assorted cheeses and cold cuts

All these are available for P1,800 nett per person (P900 nett for kids). Diners can also choose to upgrade for a free-flowing house wine and beer.

My week was capped the way I planned it to be, thanks to dusitD2 Davao’s Madayaw Café!
