3 nabbed in Bacolod drug busts

THREE drug personalities, including two minors, were arrested in separate drug busts conducted by personnel of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Barangays Singcang-Airport and Cabug.

Around 1:15 a.m. Friday, operatives of Police Station 8, led by Police Major Charles Gever, neutralized the suspect John Mark Banquiran, 22, in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Gever said Banquiran was caught selling a sachet of substance beliveved to be shabu to a police undercover.

Police recovered from Banquiran’s possession six sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P15, 000 and the P200 marked money.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, May 16, operatives of Police Station 3 led by Police Major Ruel Culanag also arrested the two minors in Purok Villa, Barangay Cabug.

Culanag said the two minors were caught selling of shabu to a police undercover.

Police recovered from the minors’ possession 10 sachets of shabu, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Culanag said the recovered illegal drugs weighing 16 grams have an estimated market value of P200,000.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 3 and 8 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
