3 nabbed in Bacolod drug busts

THREE drug personalities in Bacolod City were arrested in separate drug-bust operations of the Bacolod City Police Office over the weekend.

Police identified the suspects as Randy Alcala, 21, Eugene Jamili, 40, both residents of Barangay 35; and Lemuel Talaman, 31, of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Alcala and Jamili were caught selling shabu to a police undercover of Police Station 1 in Purok Mahili-ugyon in Barangay 35 at 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 12.

Police recovered the suspects’ possession 13 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P50,000, the P300 marked money, coin purse and drug paraphernalia.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said Alcala was identified as street level target while Jamili was considered as high value target within their areas of jurisdiction.

He said both suspects were under surveillance for almost a month.

On Saturday, May 10, Talaman was also caught selling shabu to a police undercover of Police Station 8 in Barangay Singcang-Airport at 11:45 p.m.

Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 8, said they recovered from Talaman’s possession six sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P15 and the P200 marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 1 and 8 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
