Co-stars Wong, Park write, produce Netflix romcom out May 31

ALI Wong (“Hard Knock Wife”) and Randall Park (“Ant-Man and the Wasp”) star, write and produce the Netflix romantic comedy “Always Be My Maybe.”

The film follows childhood friends Sasha and Marcus. After 15 years, Sasha is now a celebrity chef who’s back in her hometown to open a new restaurant. She bumps into her old pal—a happily complacent musician still living at home and working for his dad. Though the two are reluctant to reconnect, they soon find the old sparks—and maybe some new ones—are there.

Wong and Park are joined by Michelle Buteau (“Broad City”), Vivian Bang (“White Rabbit”), Karan Soni (“Deadpool 2”), Charlyne Yi (“Paper Heart”), Daniel Dae Kim (“Hellboy”), James Saito (“While We’re Young”) with Keanu Reeves (“John Wick”) and Lyrics Born.

“Always Be My Maybe” is directed by Nahnatchka Khan (“Fresh Off the Boat”) from a script by Wong, Park and Michael Golamco (“Grimm”), and is produced by Nathan Kahane, Erin Westerman, Wong and Park. The film streams May 31 on Netflix. (PR)
