Revilla continues climb as Aquino slides to 14th

ADMINISTRATION bet Bong Revilla continues his climb within the Magic 12 even as the last opposition candidate, Senator Benigno “Bam” Aquino, slid further to 14th spot.

Based on the partial and official canvassing of the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), Revilla is now at 11th spot with 13,873,309 votes.

He was able to overtake Senator Nancy Binay, who now occupies the 12th spot with 13,784,692 votes.

Just outside the winners’ circle at 13th place is Senator JV Ejercito with 13,677,424 votes.

Aquino went down to 14th after getting 13,675,820 votes.

Meanwhile, the first 10 placers in the Magic 12 continue to maintain their posts, led by re-electionists senators Cynthia Villar (24,199,174) and Grace Poe (21,183,332).

Still at third to sixth spots are former presidential aide Christopher “Bong” Go (19,568,909); Representative Pia Cayetano (18,999,378); former police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa (18,045,456); and Senatot Sonny Angara (17,442,174).

Former senator Lito Lapid (16,252,252); Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos (15,079,596); former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino (14,741,637); and Senator Koko Pimentel (13,948,863) occupy the seventh to 10 spots.

The partial and official tally is sourced from the first 158 Certificates of Canvass (COCs) canvassed by the NBOC out of the 167 total COCs set to be canvassed at the Philippine International Convention Center Tent Forum in Pasay City. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
