CONSIDERING the young generation as the future leaders, they are encouraged not to stop schooling.
For those who are unable to go to schools, were given a chance to continue their studies through the help of Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.
“Never lose hope, you may never know what tomorrow may bring. Believe in your dreams. Anything is possible,” said Margarita Sael, a district coordinator of ALS in Matina, Davao City during the Pantawid Pamilya Bata-Balik Eskwela (BBE) on May 8, 2019 at Matina Barangay Hall.
This program aims to provide intervention to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Programs (4Ps) beneficiaries who failed to meet one of the conditions - percentage of attendance in school. In this connection, ALS offered to help those who wish to enrol especially those who are working and cannot attend in formal classes.
Sael conducted an orientation about the ALS program and how it can provide practical option to the existing formal instruction.
“We are very much willing to cater these 4Ps beneficiaries for them to be optimistic about life, get learned and be functionally literate,” she said.
The 4Ps is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor to improve the health, nutrition and the education of children aged 0-18.
