A MAN from Talisay City is now languishing behind bars after seven of his children accused him of sexually molesting them several times on different occasions.
Randy (not his real name) was initially arrested in Barangay Jaclupan on Thursday, May 16, after his neighbors complained that he was seen carrying a firearm in the neighborhood.
When police brought him to the station after they found a .38 revolver in his possession, Randy’s children, age five to 18 years old, went to the police to complain about their father’s lascivious acts.
Police Major Ardiolito Cabagnot, Talisay City Police Station deputy chief, told reporters that aside from allegedly raping his three daughters, Randy abused his four sons by fondling their genitals.
Fed up by the abuse, the children decided to no longer keep silent and report the matter to authorities.
In a separate interview, the suspect denied the allegations, saying his children may be angry with him because he scolds them often.
Police, however, will proceed with the filing of charges for incestuous rape and acts of lasciviousness against the suspect.
Randy is currently detained in the Talisay City police’s stockade at City Hall while charges are being prepared against him. (JKV)
