Coast Guard searches for missing person at Palma Beach

THE personnel of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) are still searching for a missing 39-year-old man who went swimming at Palma Beach in Barangay Punta Taytay, Bacolod City Sunday morning, May 19.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the personnel of Police Station 9 received a report that a certain Rey Depamaylo was swimming at Palma Beach, but was reported missing at about 8:30 a.m.

He said a thorough search was immediately conducted by personnel of Police Station 9 along with the City Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), but as of Sunday morning, the victim was nowhere to be found.

He added they coordinated with the PCG and the search and rescue operation is still on-going.
