THE Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) has denied ever having drawn a drug matrix that mentions the names of Regina “Pinky” Quisumbing and her son Kyle Bravante.

This was seconded by Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Police Brigadier General Debold Sinas, who said the matrix came from social media and not from the MCPO or his office.

The police official also denied any responsibility for its publication.

Last April 21, Quisumbing and Bravante wrote Sinas a letter asking the latter to clear their names after denying they were involved in the illegal drug trade.

But Sinas said his office could not clear their names since the PRO 7 does not have any record implicating mother and son in illegal drugs.

A matrix bearing the text “Ecstasy ug Drug Trading sa Mandaue” has been circulating online since last month.

The matrix alleges that Sentral Bar and Lounge in Barangay Tipolo was closed “due to drug infestation.” It tagged Bravante and a “son of Peter Lim” as Sentral’s co-owners.

Bravante is a first cousin of outgoing Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing. Bravante’s mother and Luigi’s father are siblings.

SunStar is yet to get the comment of Pinky and Bravante. (WBS)
