THREE people, including a fish merchant, were arrested while some P15,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police said Monday, May 20.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Michael Amor, 27; Ibrahim Majid, 38; and, Berhamin Darong, 40, a fish merchant.
Galvez said Amor was arrested in a drug bust around 4 a.m. Sunday in San Jose Gusu village, this city.
She said seized from the possession of Amor were some P10,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.
Galvez said Majid and Darong were caught in possession of some P5,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets and P300 marked money when arrested at 1:50 a.m. Monday in Kasanyangan village.
The police officer said the suspects were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them. (SunStar Philippines)
