TWO men were arrested for drug possession and use in Barangay Lourdes North West, Angeles City, Pampanga on May 19.
Ronnel Dayao Calma, 31, and Lorenz Inot, 25, were arrested by Station 2 policemen in a raid, said Police Captain Elaine Villasis, public information officer of the Angeles City Police Office.
A concerned citizen reported, through a phone call, about the illegal activities, added Villasis.
"A telephone call was received from a concerned citizen that there is an ongoing drug activity, particularly pot session, at Zamora Extension in Barangay Lourdes North West, Angeles City," the police official said.
A team of cops were dispatched to the area to check the veracity of the report, Villasis added.
"Immediately, Intel tracker team of Police Station 2 proceeded to the said area to verify the report," she added.
The raiding team reportedly caught the suspects in the act of sniffing shabu, Villasis said.
Calma and Inot were arrested and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Police recovered from the suspects several sachets of substance believed to be shabu and drug paraphernalia.
