DAVAO City Water District informs its customers of two separate sets of water service interruption to give way to service improvement works.

First set is on May 23, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. affecting portion of Purok 4 Sitio Nalum particularly from corner Libby Road (near DCWD’s Dumoy Production Well No. 31) to corner Fernandez Street.

DCWD needs to temporarily shut off water supply in the affected areas for the tapping of the newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline for the mainline improvement in Fernandez Street, Purok 4 in Sitio Nalum. Once completed, this project will allow for accommodation of additional water service connections.

Second set is low water pressure to no water on May 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., affecting Tibungco Relocation Phase II.

DCWD has to temporarily shut off water supply in the affected area for the disinfection and cleaning of Water for Life Tibungco Steel Tank No. 1 as part of DCWD’s commitment to ensure safe and drinkable water supply.

On behalf of the DCWD management, general manager Engr. Edwin V. Regalado asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers. They are also advised to store enough water prior to the scheduled water service interruptions. Water supply may be restored earlier if works go smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.

The general public may visit DCWD website (www.davao-water.gov.ph) and official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/davaowater) or call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24-hour hotline 297-DCWD (3293) and press “1” on their phone dial for the latest daily water updates. Contact 0927-7988966, 0925-5113293, and 0908-4410653 for other updates, complaints, queries, and matters pertaining to DCWD services. (PR)
