10 wanted persons in NegOcc arrested

TEN wanted persons were arrested in different localities in the province on Monday, May 20.

Based on police report, on May 20, around 7 a.m. at Barangay Bocana, Ilog town, arrested for illegal gambling were identified as Rosemarie Tomo, 59 years old; Emily Simply, 48; and Jovy Camarines, 55, all residents of the said barangay.

Ilog Municipal Police Station personnel arrested the suspects by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violations of illegal game wagering issued by Judge Conrado Estreller Jr., acting judge of Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Ilog-Candoni with bail recommended fixed at P30,000 for their temporary liberty.

The suspects were placed under the custodial facility of Ilog Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Around 6 p.m. same day at Hacienda Carmen, Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, the suspect identified as Jumon Orega, 35, and a resident of Brgy. Daga, was arrested for violation of the condition of his parole.

The suspect was placed under the custodial facility of Cadiz CPS for proper disposition.

Another wanted person identified as Norberto Libor, 53, and resident of Taft Avenue, Malate was arrested at 5:20 p.m., Monday at Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City.

Himamaylan City PNP conducted operation against the suspect that resulted to his arrest by virtue of standing warrant of arrest issued by Judge Walter Zorilla, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 55, Himamaylan City, for “bigamy” with bail recommended at P72,000.

The suspect was placed under the custodial facility of Himamaylan CPS for proper disposition.

Selman Wayco, alias Toto, 32, of Barangay Bulanon, Sagay City, also a wanted person, was arrested on the same day at 3:30 p.m. at Purok Tae, Barangay Bulanon, Sagay City.

The Sagay City PNP conducted intensified manhunt operations which resulted to the arrest of the suspect. Wayco has standing warrant of arrest for violation on anti-violence against women and children issued by Judge Reginald Fuentebella, executive judge of Regional Trial Court, Sagay City on May 09, 2019. Bail is fixed at P72,000 for his temporary liberty.

Wayco was placed under the custodial facility of Sagay City PNP for proper disposition.

Also on Monday, around 11:20 a.m. at Purok Kulasi, Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, the suspect identified as Francisco Villaflor, 49, and resident of Brgy. Kumaliskis, was arrested for violation of Republic Act 7486.

The arrest was made based on the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Blas Nolasco Jr., presiding judge Murcia-DSB MCTC, Murcia town, dated May 15, 2019 with P12,000 recommended bail for his temporary liberty.

Villaflor was placed under the custodial facility of DSB MPS for proper disposition.

At So. Pang-Pang, Brgy. 1, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, arrested was Mario Lamela, 61, and a resident of said barangay.

Police report said Lamela was arrested after being served a warrant of arrest by the Himamaylan PNP. The warrant was issued by Judge Dialinda Dominguez, presiding judge, MTCC, Himamaylan City, for obstruction of justice with bail recommended at P12,000. The suspect was placed under the custodial facility of Himamaylan CPS for proper disposition.

Stephen Astorga of Barangay Caduhaan-an, Cadiz City was also arrested for libel.

A certain Jerry Apare alias Jerry Boy was arrested in Hda. JML, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City for “child abuse” with a bail bond of P80,000, issued by Judge Ana Celeste Bernad, acting presiding judge of RTC, Branch 69, Silay City. The suspect was detained in Silay CPS.

In E.B. Magalona, wanted person identified as Albert Mahilok of Barangay Canlusong was also arrested for the case of frustrated murder. (TDE)
