A “MANGAmazing” weekend is fast approaching as Megaworld Corp., in partnership with the Lapu-Lapu City Tourism Office, will present the Cebu Mangoes Festival. This is a two-day event that will take place May 25 and 26 at The Mactan Newtown. Here are four reasons why it’s worth checking out:

The showstopper. Get ready to experience everything and anything there is to do with the beloved fruit. This festival is a way to celebrate and pay tribute to one of the most sought-after produce loved all over the world.

The activities. The activities at the festival include the much-awaited unveiling of the world’s biggest mango sago, which is eyed to become a historic first in the island. Another event highlight is the all-day mango picking activity. With the property home to more than 200 mango trees lining up along the main avenue, there’s plenty for everyone at a friendly price.

The food. Guests can also look forward to the Mango Bazaar featuring the “mangopreneurs” of Cebu where they will showcase products from sweet to savory, made with the special ingredient—mango.

The performances. As for entertainment, there’s the Mango Street Dancing to kick off the celebration led by the Kadaugan Dancers on the first day. To cap off both days, the MANGAmazing concert will be in full swing which will feature live performances by Cebu’s talents and a grand fireworks display.
