Sungduan: Cordillera Men and Women's Day

OVERSEAS Filipino workers in Hong Kong are being appreciated for their laudable strong unity and camaraderie.

This was witnessed again with how the different OFW organizations from the different parts of the Cordillera, including the Ilocanos, supported the celebration of the Cordillera Men and Women's Day at Pier 9 Central.

The occasion, which was also the celebration of the 1st anniversary of Cordillera Women's Club headed by Jacqueline Ngolob, was full of fun and laughter with the participants actively participating in the program and cultural presentation such as the "ganggangsa," depicting the cultural heritage and traditions of the indigenous tribes in the Cordillera.

Vlogger, reporter, and OFW Czarina Bawing said the event, dubbed "Keeping Brotherhood and Culture of Cordillerans in Hong Kong," became even more memorable as they sang with the band playing unforgettable Cordilleran music and popular Filipino songs.

Labor Attaché' Antonio Villafuerte served as speaker in the program and officiated the induction of the new set of officers of the Cordillera Men's Club.

CMC outgoing president Orlan Caoili initiated the turnover of the key of responsibility to the new president Bruce Teliao.

The two organizations have been actively involved in helping the needy community in the Cordillera and other regions especially those victims of tragedy and calamity.

With this gathering, Filipinos abroad will always feel that they have a home to turn to. May this good relationship among OFWs abroad continue.
