PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has turned the tables on Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, accusing him of having hidden wealth that

In a speech in Davao City on Thursday, May 23, 2019, the President said the senator owns several cars and properties, but these are owned by dummies on paper.

"Hindi nila alam, karami mong kotse, tapos karami mong properties na nakalista sa ibang tao. Ikaw 'yung number one na nagagamit ng dummy. Lalabas din iyan (They have no idea that you have cars and properties listed under other people's names. You're the number one user of a dummy. The truth will eventually come out)," he said.

He called Trillanes "shameless" for allegedly using his position as senator to undermine the Duterte family.

"Anong ginawa mo? Binaboy mo ang Senado (What did you do? You tarnished the reputation of the Senate). And you use that power to run after people," the President said.

"Wala kang hiya. Hindi ka lalaki (You are shameless. You are not a man)," he added.

The President was in Davao City to attend the thanksgiving party thrown by his former presidential aide, now senator-elect Christopher "Bong" Go. He made the remarks on the same day that Peter Joemel Advincula, the man claiming to be "Bikoy" in the "Ang Totoong Narcolist" videos, tagged Trillanes and the Liberal Party as the brains behind the videos.

The videos linked Duterte family members, especially presidential son Paolo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio's husband Manases Carpio, to illegal drugs.

Trillanes and LP officials have denied Advincula's allegations.

For Trillanes, the latest revelation of Advincula was "another ploy of the administration to harass the opposition."

The President said he was confident that the truth will soon come out.

"Iyang mga (With regard to the) black propaganda, eventually, the truth will come out," he said. (Ruth Abbey Gita/SunStar Philippines)
