TOP names in local and national motocross riders are set to converge in Kapangan, Benguet for the 1st Kapangan Invitational motocross slated May 26.
Close to 80 riders from all over the country will vie for top honors in eight categories in the one day event supported by Mayor Manny Fermin and Benguet congressman – elect Nestor Fongwan.
Trophies await the podium finishers in Open Enduro, Local Enduro, Underbone/All China, Mini 50/65, Executive, Novice Open Production, Expert Open Production, and All Kapangan Category.
The event is also supported by Jomarcan Construction, Pines Dual Rough Riders Club, Tagel Corporation, the Municipality of Kapangan, Kapangan Municipal Tourism Council, Bikemart, Bike Solutionz, Tribo HSE, team nanguyas, Pugad Adventure, and Habibis Grill.
Baguio and Benguet used to be motocross hub back in the 80’s and 90’s that top riders in the country would anticipate the Baguio Mountain Motocross in Lonlong, La Trinidad as it was a true test of man and machine.
Several motocross events were also held during the Strawberry Festival in 2016 and 201.
Young riders JayPaul Samuel Wayet and Mia Villalon are expected to lead the charge for local riders including Butch Mendoza, Rafael Ciulan, Kurt Amdengan, and Ben Pudlao. (SunStar Baguio)
