Davao region dominates LET

DAVAO region dominated the top 10 of the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) for elementary and secondary levels, as posted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The result was released yesterday, May 25, 2019 or 42 working days since the examination was conducted.

Stephanie Apple Miguel Piodo of Compostela Valley State College (CVSC) - Montevista Branch topped the elementary level with a passing rate of 93.20 percent, while Honey Gracielle Decosto Baclayo of the University of Mindanao-Davao City (UM) topped the secondary level with a passing rate of 93.40 percent.

Takers from the region also dominated the top 10 passers on both lists.

In the elementary level, 14 out of 20 passers are from Davao region.

They are Emily Balagot Ligue of UM-Davao City (93-percent), Chanda May Dequito Sumiga of the Legacy College of Compostela (92.6 percent), Marjorie Saludo Comidoy of the University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep)-Tagum (92.4 percent), Judie Ann Requioma Daniola of Usep-Tagum (92.4 percent), Steffi Usman Lamalan of UM-Davao City (92-percent), Rio Yasmin Caya An Fernandez of the Holy Cross of Davao College (91.8 percent), Bombie Tapalla Pabricante of Usep-Tagum (91.8 percent), Alonah Kim Balmes Palen of (CVSC) - Montevista (91.8 percent), Butchick Daligdig Refulle of UM-Davao City (91.6 percent), Estella Marie Paras Alicante of UM-Tagum (91.4 percent), Lovely Jane Pregunta Palen of Usep-Tagum (91.4 percent), Mae Cuyos Atendido of Usep-Tagum (91.2 percent), Maristel Abo Adlawon of Usep-Tagum (91 percent) and Julie Ann Sariana of Usep-Tagum (91 percent).

There are 20 topnotchers from Davao region out of 27 in the secondary level.

They are Joseph Pre Enero of UM-Davao City (92.8 percent), Michael Vincent Barrios Dumalauron of Usep-Davao City (92.6 percent), Jezzel Amarillo Rabe of UM-Tagum (92.6 percent), Anthony Viadnes Oteda of Usep-Davao City (92 percent), Hannah Mae Cañete Pamilgan of Usep-Tagum (92 percent), Cristian Jay Basanon Baway of UM-Davao City (91.8 percent), Aris Jhon Cabel Moran of Usep-Davao City (91.8 percent), Rodgie Negrito Calmerin of Usep-Davao City (91.6 percent), Janreve Martirez Odango of UM-Davao City (91.6 percent), Rubylyn Chua Cagampang of St . Mary's College-Tagum (91.4 percent), Jayrick Cajigal Manlawi of CVSC - Montevista (91.4 percent), Arden Roy Labora Lumaad of Usep-Tagum (91.2 percent), Emerson Dave Aquino Silutan of UM-Tagum (91.2 percent) Jomel Tapayan Famoso of Usep-Tagum (91 percent), Princess Clarizz Joy Miranda Saludes of Usep-Tagum (91 percent), Maiko Hilay Anicoy of Usep-Tagum (90.8 percent), Christofer Edward Abarquez Lerio of Usep-Tagum (90.8 percent) and Hazel Mae Calicaran Llorente of Usep-Davao City (90.8 percent).

According to PRC, 19,659 elementary teachers out of 72,054 examinees (27.28%) and 22,271 secondary teachers out of 85,823 examinees (25.95%) successfully passed.

The first schedule of LET was administered on March 24, 2019 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Cebu, Cotabato, Davao, General Santos City, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Occidental Mindoro, Pagadian, Pampanga, Romblon, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
